PAYOLA. What is it? Why is it banned in the music industry? How does it affect the selections of music that you hear on your radio? These are just a few of the questions that will be answered Sunday at 2:00pm EST on KOCIRADIO.org. Special guest will be Scott Kirby, Director and writer of the documentary MUSIC MATTERS. On the show sunday, Scott will explain the payola law and address record label collusion and how the music industry got screwed up to the point where it has never really rebounded. If you are in radio or are a musician or music lover, tune in and find out how we can fix some of the issues that exist in the industry today that has artists suffering from poor sales and lack of exposure. As it stands now, the three major labels are nothing more than a cartel. Prices are fixed, playlists at radio stations are restricted, and the industry as a whole suffers.
